This image has been a struggle to produce. The prisoner number of an Auschwitz survivor,
who I have contacted to ask for permission to use his number. Leon Greenman did not ask to have his number
tattooed,so I made a decision to break my rules of never asking before stealing an image. We had a really nice
conversation on the phone, and I got his book, "An Englishman in Auschwitz", available through Amazon.
Considering my Nationality, my own family history, a piece that has no humour at all, but portrays the
Human Spirit surviving, somehow, the nastyness inflicted by one's own brothers.
