This picture is another one in the self portrait series. A muslim friend on mine
walked into my studio and said "wow, some kind of terrorist.." Not quite what I had
in mind when designing this one, except the beard came off the web from an Osama
Bin Laden dog chew toy. Should have guessed, really, that these days, one cannot make
a picture with a fake beard without people thinking of the muslim extremist concept.
So, it is a comment on muslim / cristian relations somehow. I deeply believe in the
idea that we jews, christians and muslims share a lot of ideas and that it is our political
leaders who exploit the differences. So the picture began as a joke, and turned into a
serious discussion point after all.
